A fire extinguisher service in the UK involves a thorough inspection by a qualified technician to ensure the extinguisher is in proper working order, including checking for damage, verifying pressure levels, examining the discharge hose, and replacing any worn seals or O-rings, all done according to British Standards, typically on an annual basis to comply with fire safety regulations; this includes a visual inspection, pressure gauge reading, weight check, and ensuring the extinguisher has not been tampered with or used.
